GARAGE SALE WAS A SUCCESS!

Got up at 6:00 this morning and had coffee then went outside to put my art on display.  Had my first customer around 8:00 and it kept steady all day until about 3:00.

My books were my biggest selling item.  Next was my fine art prints of the island taken back in 2007.  Sold a few serving trays and fence slat screens as well as canvas paintings.  I did as well today as I have in the past when I participated in the Island Wide Garage Sale.  The weather was great and it stayed cool under the awning with a fan blowing on me and no bugs.

$350.00 is not bad for a day's work of selling at garage sale prices.  Of course that's not counting the hours I put in painting all of that canvas and wood.  However, that was the fun part.

I"m very happy with the sale and very tired tonight.  Going to bed early and plan on sleeping late.  I'll be staying here a couple of days then it's on to the State Park for a week.

BACK ON THE ISLAND FOR THE GARAGE SALE

The dogs and I left home today around noon and headed for Grand Isle.  Tomorrow I'll be participating in the Island Wide Garage Sale selling my paintings, serving trays, and books.

Got set up at my friend Pat's house and opened my awning, put my mats down, and my chairs out.  Around 7:00 tomorrow morning I'll put out my art.  The sale begins at 8:00.

I participated in this sale every year I lived on the island and did very well each time.  I'm hoping I sell everything I brought with me as I do not want to carry any of it back home.

Pat cooked a shrimp spaghetti and we ate out in his outdoor kitchen.  It was cool and breezy and no bugs.  I think the weather will be nice tomorrow as the forecast looks good for the next 7 days.

My little girls slept all the way to the island and each stayed in their own bed.

Getting set up for the garage sale.  I only have 3 easels so will use lots of chairs to display my canvas paintings.
